Most custom business owners like myself "close up" shop on the weekends. Are they really closed or working behind the scenes ? I surely can't speak for everyone but I'm working behind the scenes on my business, morning, noon, and night, and weekends lol.
How many days out the week do you feel all over the place, even though you’re well aware of your goals?
0%1 day
0%2-3 days
0%4-6
0%Everyday, but I’m working on it
If you responded more than two, you'll want to keep reading. It will be worth it pinky promise 🤙🏽.
I once knew that feeling all to well. If you're in Business Vibes, former Bombcrafters (My Facebook Group), you've heard me complain, and fuss about it. I haven't so much as complained in the last 7 months after coming up with the Success Chaser Goal Guide. This business guide was designed using a series of proven methods for the setting and completion of goals. But before we get into the guide, let's chat about goals.
Why are they important, and what are the key parts to goals? Along with some other important bridges we should cross before jumping in head face.
Goals are important for several reasons:
✍🏽By setting goals and working on acheieving them you define the success you seek for your business
✍🏽Goals give you direction to assure your business is heading in the direction you would like it to go
✍🏽Goals allow you to clear up your focus and prioritize things to achieve great success in your business
✍🏽Goal setting helps you stay motivated and accountable for your wins and lessons
✍🏽Setting goals will allow you to measure the progress and current state your business is in
What are the key parts to goals?
The best method I've found that works for me currently is SMART. It's an acyonym for Specific, Measureable, Atainnable/Assignable, Relevant, an Timed.
It's a long time used method introduced to the world by George T. Doran. Definitely had to be a smart guy 🤣🤣🤣🤭
I know I'm corny, but seriously. When using this method your goals are like putty in your hands. Ready to be conquered and completed.
The acronym first used in the 20th century, but accepted to have been written down in 1981 has taken on several meanings over the years. My favorite "addition " to it is the ER, SMARTER goals. This added Evaluated, and Review. Two steps to look over your last goal and critic and analyze your good behaviors versus your bad behaviors. Crucial to learning from your mistakes and complimenting your strengths to build upon getting your next goals set up.
Most times when you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, all over the place, it's because you are. The great thing about that is, it can change tomorrow or shoot today.
You're not feeling overwhelmed because of your work load!
You're not feeling stressed because you have too much on your plate!
You're not feeling all over the place because you just can't seem to get things right?
You're feeling this way because although you are accomplishing things you have no real goal setting method to track it so you seem like you're all over the place and never complete anything. Getting your goals organized and structured will allow you to see that missed progress and realize how much you are truly completing or the areas that need improvement to stay on task. By setting goals and getting things planned out, you will see your plate is just right. You just needed some dividers, and a map 😉
The Success Chasers Goal Guide covers all that. With the SMARTER goals in mind I designed a goal setting planner that will make your goal setting dreams come true. It's very user friendly and available in a variety of delivery methods. We packed some of the best used goal settings methods and paired it with Smarter goals to deliver you something amazing that you will scream for more. Coming Soon to a Black Friday near you!
