You always hear the question.....
"If it was one thing you would tell yourself as a fresh entrepreneur , what would it be?

I hear and see this question so much. I would always think right to support. My now known 2nd bit of advice😘:
"Don't look at your friends and family to be your customers /supporters!"
It wasn't until a friend asked me to really think about it and get back to her that I realized it was something much more important than support.
What could be more important than support, you ask?
I get it support/customers are the backbone of every business. But that's something I personally feel every entrepreneur will receive and view differently. I wanted a TRUE piece of advice. Something I could view as an honest, but very helpful answer. Something much greater than the cliche approach with support. Even if we all know it to be true, some never experience that, or experience it on different levels.
I wanted something that would be useful in any and every situation she might face on her journey to success..........
The next day I went on with my normal day and came across another fellow entrepreneur that had a sales used tax certification question. While answering her question it came to me.
I was once told to rush and get an LLC, EIN, and a sales used tax to assure my business was taking the prepare procedures to be totally legitimate. What I wasn't told was that I didn't need it just yet. Each state had a set amount of money the business is required to make before it was "legally" needed. So although it wasn't anything that ruined my business. I will say that it caused quite a few problems that I had to later on get fixed to cover and save my business.
At that exact time, I realized the best and most useful advice you could ever give a fresh entrepreneur would be:
"Believe everything you hear, but trust none of it!"
Sounds a little confusing?
Let me break it down for you!
When told I needed a sales and used tax certification, it wasn't a lie. But the important details were definitely left out.
Was the person I paid for this information at fault?
Or
Better yet, most of us get a huge amount of information from others through, courses, lives, conversations and some many other ways.
By no means would I ever say stop doing those things!
I've gained loads of knowledge by watching those who are where I'm trying to go.
But......
WHAT I WILL SUGGEST IS ALWAYS ALWAYS FACT CHECK!!
So Believe everything you hear
(Take notes😉)
But Trust no of it
(Take those notes and do the research yourself)
Remember we're building success on OUR terms!
How could that be possible if we took everything we were told and applied it to our business. No proper research of our own that it will fit, could work, or is something we even should financially invest into at the moment for said business?
In closing make sure you always do your own research!😘
Let me know what you think? What's a piece of advice you'd like to tell your fresh entrepreneur self? Leave a comment below to your younger entrepreneur self🥰
